Project Overview
Remontada is a real-time football trivia game designed for two players to compete locally in an exciting head-to-head format. Inspired by the intensity of match-day rivalries, players select categories such as La Liga, Champions League, or Club Logos and answer timed questions to score points. With a clean, modern UI and smooth animations, the experience feels more like a sports broadcast than a traditional quiz app. Built using Flutter for both mobile and web, Remontada runs seamlessly across platforms while keeping gameplay consistent and responsive. The app supports multiple languages, in-app credit purchases via the MyFatoorah payment gateway for Kuwait, and a backend-driven question and scoring system through APIs. It is already live on the App Store and also available on the web, allowing players to jump into a match from anywhere.
Technical Challenges
Turn-based game flow for two local players that felt fair, fast, and intuitive. Timers, score updates, question transitions, and power-ups had to stay perfectly in sync while still working smoothly on both mobile and web builds.
Integrating MyFatoorah for Kuwait-specific payments required handling regional compliance, secure transaction flows, and credit management inside the game.
major challenge was building a responsive UI that adapts to different screen sizes without breaking the game layout, especially for the grid-based category and point system.

Remontada is now live on iOS and the web, offering players a polished, competitive football trivia experience.
